Spaghetti Carbonara

This wonderful dish is one of the most popular child-friendly dishes not only in Italy.

It is definitely one of the top 3 in our family, too. It is prepared in a flash, does not require many ingredients and can still shine with a lot of flavor.

In addition, the tofu it contains makes the dish a very good and easy way to provide children with sufficient protein.


  • 250ml Soy Cream
  • 1/2 Bunch Parsley
  • 160-180g Smoked Tofu
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 3 tbsp of Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 cup Peas
  • Sea Salt & Black Pepper
  • Nutritional Yeast or vegan Parmesan (optional)


Step 1

Cook the pasta according to packet instructions.

Step 2

Wash the parsley, shake dry and finely chop the leaves. Cut the smoked tofu into small cubes. Peel the onion and garlic clove, finely chop both.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a pan. Fry the smoked tofu in it for about 3 minutes. Add onion and garlic cubes and fry for 3 minutes.

Step 4

Add the soy cream, lemon juice, peas and parsley, season well with salt and pepper.

Step 5

Bring carbonara to boil and let it thicken.

Step 6

Stir in the pasta to combine, add 2 tablespoon of butter and season with salt and pepper to taste
