Crumbled Plum Cake

This quick cake with plums and cinnamon crumbles tastes heavenly and is always a winner


  • For the dough:
  • 180g of flour
  • 80g vegan butter
  • 80g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon tartar baking powder
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 50g water

  • For the covering:
  • 500g plums or cherries from the jar, 350g drained weight

  • For the Crumbles:
  • 150g flour
  • 100g vegan butter or margarine
  • 100g sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar


Step 1

Put all ingredients for the dough in a mixing bowl and stir well until a fluffy dough is formed.

Step 2

Put the dough in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 180 degrees, grease a springform pan and lay out the dough in it.

Step 3

Wash the plums, cut in half, core and then quarter. Spread the plum pieces on the dough.

Step 4

Put all the ingredients for the crumble in the blender and mix for 15-20 seconds on a relatively low speed until the crumbles have the desired texture.Then spread the crumble on the cake.

Step 5

Bake the cake in the preheated oven on the lowest rack at 180 degrees for 55-60 minutes.
